Our Purpose
For over 30 years, Bomar has been a leading innovator of advanced-performance materials for energy (UV/EB), light, and other free-radical cure applications. We have coupled our technical strength in acrylate and urethane chemistry with a strong emphasis on new product development.
Our scientists synthesize a broad range of select specialty oligomers, custom-designed to satisfy the unique performance requirements of emerging application technologies, while providing customers an edge in formulating products with outstanding performance, reproducibility, and cost effectiveness.
In addition to oligomer synthesis, we assist companies with coatings formulation, custom blending, toll manufacturing, and contract manufactured coatings solutions.

1990
Bomar Specialities manufacturing and offices were located at Whiting Avenue in Winsted, Connecticut. A joint venture with Bospec Investors was established.
2000
Dymax Corporation purchased majority ownership of Bomar Specialties.
2007
Bomar Specialties relocated to Greenwoods Road in Torrington, Connecticut.
2012
Bomar Specialties is fully integrated into Dymax and rebranded as Dymax Oligomers & Coatings.
2022
Bomar Specialties LLC is established as an independent brand to focus on innovation of high-performance polymeric materials for a global base of formulators.
